She has over 30 years experience working with adolescents and families. Shana has a passion for working with at-risk youth. She has worked with adolescents in a variety of settings such as juvenile hall, residential treatment facilities, the foster care system, school settings, and churches. Shana has experience working with different cultures of varying socio-economic backgrounds. Shana is trained in working with complex trauma and utilizes a variety of treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems. Although Shana specializes in working with adolescents and young adults, she also has experience working with adults, couples and families. Shana works with a variety of issues such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant, self-injurious behavior, divorce, abuse issues, grief & loss, adoption related issues as well as change of life issues. Through all her years of experience Shana remains young at heart, has a keen sense of humor and a quick wit - which keeps therapy sessions exciting. Shana was a foster parent for over 25 years and was fortunate enough to walk alongside over 64 children and adolescents. She built her family through fostering and adoption and is also a grandparent and she will gladly tell you about any of her three grandchildren anytime.
